Death Poem by Abigail Hauschild

Death

Rating: 4.0

Death, a beautifully feared truth
It can’t be changed or wished away
We all will die but
will we embrace it
Or fight till our last breath
Will we die alone
Or will the living we leave behind mourn us
Will we die too early
Can there be a death at the right time
Will we die a “good” death
Or does all death hurt
Physically
Emotionally
There will be repercussions, consequences
Will you cower in the cave trying to hide from the inevitable
Or will you rejoice in the life you have lived
And the life you have yet to live
And the people who have lived alongside you
