Death Poem by Kolawole Emmanuel

Death

I ask for freedom for the ones that left
No I am not in the state of deft
Everything has to go one day
So accept it with a graceful say

Death takes away all the things
That matter in time and beings
Death is a reality which one does not accept
Things that are left to be seen

Do not fear death as it will come along
It will be the end of your wonderful song

But a start of another for sure

I did not leave I did not leave,
I Just changed my way,
I am not able to say,
But, I am the wind you feel,

Don't come at my grave and cry,
Don't show me you are that side to me,
I may not be able to see,
Death is a harsh reality and everyone has to go,
My friend you must also know,

Live your life as you used to live before,
Don't cry for me as I will feel sad,
Stay blessed as I love to watch you smile,
This gloom is not forever, it is for a while!
