Dear Stranger Poem by Briana Johnson

Dear Stranger

Rating: 5.0

The last time we met in the ghost of our former selves
i was sure you had forgotten my presence,
though i never forgot your touch and your charisma

Life has driven us apart to a distance of untouchable souls
but your silhouette still shadows my past, present, and future
with the inevitable ponders of what happened between us

Through the timeless efforts to distract my constant wonders
love drew a beat upon me again and disabled my heart
temporarily enough to blind my current ambitions but the arrow
only sails so long in the red abyss and soon my thoughts surrounded
me in a fog of confusion

So dear Stranger, last time we met we were so in tune with regret
we didn't see the melody of a new day amongst but now we've met again
and this time I am more sure than last it hasn't been by mistake so let
me say hi for now and be on my way since I finally understand why the
the dead strive to see within the mirror of truth and murmur to the
forgotten
