Dear Okwey Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Dear Okwey

Rating: 5.0

The butterfly black wings of your sight
Beating sensuously
Gently fan my smoldering love ember
Brightly aglow
Lure me soothingly to blissful sleep.

The smiling blossomed rose in dew pink
Transmit invisible currents
To charge my conscious chamber
Feverishly.

The whistles of your pine
Resonately disarm my resilience
A drink of forgetfulness, leche.

If I lose all else
What do I lose?
Encapsulated firmly
In your treasured solicitude
