Now it is even more confusing... Pup, Dog, grandchild....I would interpret it as human...only poet can throw some light on it.

Love for grandchildren is but natural, it is the time when you need to shower all your love on someone and they are the one at receiving end.

After reading your poem, notes and comments I am bit confused how do I interpret this poem, are you talking about a pet / caged pet or pet animal or what. In less than two year's time what memories you made with Harper? ? Waiting for your response to leave appropriate comments.
