Dear Diary Poem by Amber Piercy

Dear Diary

Dear Diary

Prompt: Oh, What A Beautiful Day To Face The Music!

Elenore Saga Part: 9

Well hello, my dearest diary
It's me Elenore,
I need to pour out what's inside me
Like never before

It's been two days since I found those letters
I had to have time to think
Inside my emotions stir
My heavy heart starts to sink

I decided to talk to him tonight at dinner
The thought eats at my soul
I feel like a distraught sinner
That got swallowed up in this hole

Seeing her family crest fills my eyes with tears
I smell betrayal in the air
It mingles with my fears
And may bring out true despair

Oh, my poor soul, feels shattered
I pray to God it can't be true
I thought what we had mattered
But, I guess it didn't to you
