Dead With A Smile On His Face Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Dead With A Smile On His Face

Rating: 4.3

The president is dead
The babies are crying
Or is it they're laughing
Sometimes it's hard to tell
But he passed splendidly
Such a damn haunting smile
Wife will always remember
As will the Americans

Richard, just stunning. I get flashes of images from the early 60s and a sense of a movie preview....Is this a case of tragedy first, then comedy? This one goes to myfavourites.

Great insights, M.J. In retrospect, you're dead-on! Thank you so much for putting it on your fav. list

This poem is brilliantly expressed with a feeling of traged and humour. I appreciate the way of presentation though it is inspired by a poem of M.J lemon. Thanksfor sharing.10
