Dead Reckoning Poem by Rob Lamberton

Dead Reckoning

Rating: 5.0

Wondering eyes on a wondering path
Thought I was on a lane of light
Sunken instead into dark depths
I was covered with the night

Buried deep beneath my dirt
Murky those depths of sin
Yet His compass in my heart
Reached up as my eyes went dim

Dying I died to thoughts not so grand
That I could find my way
Baptized in the ways of men
I rose to a better day

Through the murky depths of death
His hand reached down to mine
O' eyes so blind indeed be dead
So the Spirit's light can shine

What I saw amazes all
For all must do the same
Die daily to the wondering eye
Looking steady to the Grain

A beautiful spiritual poem so brilliantly expressed and well presented. We could never fathom the infinite love and kindness of His heart.
