Actually, there are none here anymore

Laurie, I see NO advertizing/advertising here for a LONG TIME. Am I blind? No. Maybe you can safely return here? bri ;)
May I call you "Laurie Wander Heart" for the time being, that is until you re-activate your poems? 😃😀
Hi Dear Poet, Very true, are your words. But we are here as we love poetry. We are putting up with the innumerable discomfitures.
I'm at odds with them and their apparent blessing of trolls, this is the worst poem site when it used to be the best, now it's turned to who can comment the most in one day, , anyway, miss you my sister, hope all is well with you
Laurie, my dear friends and sister, already your poetry is missed, I have defeated my poetry in the past and have lived to regret it, your poetry helps lifts us up, so please reconsider leaving and give it another try my friend
Dear and Missed Laurie, Just terrible! . One cannot even read an entire poem, without the bellowing advertisements from interrupting and making it impossible to make any sense of what is written! I am very sorry you left. If all poets leave, they must know that there will be no advertisers either! We miss you and hope there will be a solution to this parade of noise sooner rather than later. Take care We miss you.. All the very best, Sandra
Ah, Sandra! Thank you so much. Yes, the parade of noise and visual attack is never ending. As I type now, the war game is flashing at me. Not a word from PH in response to my complaints. I hope not to leave. My poems are all there still, hibernating... I will continue to read yours, if can muster up the courage to face the barrage of ads. Take care.
(5) I was right! They have not added video to any of my Portuguese Poems! Maybe I will put my next poem in Portuguese and then translate it into English in the poet notes. Actually, better to write it in English, put that in the poet notes, THEN translate to Portuguese and put that in the poem area!
(4) For a while I tried to fool them by putting gibberish in the poem area and the actual poem in the poet's notes area, but then they even added their video soundtracks to the gibberish! Ridiculous! I think perhaps they have not touched my poems that are in Portuguese. I will have to go check later just to make sure, but for now I have to leave.
Thank you, Kim for all these very kind comments. I have also enjoyed reading your poems, and our interaction over the years. The gibberish soundtracks is just classic. Very funny! You should write a limerick about it...
I used to delete my poems and resubmit them whenever PH added a video to them (which wasn't that common a couple of years ago) . My preferences say that I don't want video added, and for a few years they honored that, but now they ignore it. Whenever I submit a poem, they usually add video within a couple of hours!
One of my favorites was " Conversation with a Bear" . That one was excellent!
Laurie, I totally understand your reaction. I hate war also, but I never thought about this the way you did, that by having that ad on my poem, I was sponsoring war, and I doubt if other readers would think so either. Please reconsider and reactivate your poems for the enjoyment of the rest of us. I love so many of yours, If you quit here and go to another site, please let us know where it is! Thanks for everything!
Laurie, Sorry that you are leaving Poem Hunter, best of everything in your FUTURE! ! " In Life you have to take the Bad with the Good. Poetry does not put food on my table nor does it provide a roof over my head. It is FREE expression and nothing more."
Darwin, I thank you for your kind thoughts. I agree that PH allows free expression, and it has been a very nice outlet for my poetic expression. But I cannot accept that people get bombarded by war tanks when they read my poems! I feel that I play a role in supporting war, which I am entirely against.
Laurie Van der Hart ! You have expressed a genuine feeling regarding excessive advertisement that mars a happy reading of the poems. You are a great poet and we readers love to read you.You should not deprive the readers from reading your poems!
Dear Bharati, I truly appreciate your kind comment and support. I’m afraid I don’t feel happy having my poems associated with things I strongly disagree with, such as violence and war. If there is a marked change in PH’s approach to funding their site, I will gladly come back.
Dear Laurie............and you are getting The Member Poem Of The Day! So sad not to be able to read that. You are right all the things you have said here. But for the Love for Poetry, I am still here. I wish you much success in the future on a new Poem site of your choice. I will miss you and your poems.CONGRATULATIONS for the prize.GBU
Good to hear from you, Sylvia! You have always been so kind in your appraisal of my poetry. My poems are deactivated, not deleted. Let’s hope I’ll be able to activate them again in the future.
Thank you so much, dear Laurie, indeed DEACTIVATED, not deleted, thank you for yiour explanation, in my sadness I had thought too quick, You had been very kind and sympathetic to me.Just loved to read your poems like a story book, since eachof your poem has its own story and new challenges. They are impressing constantly.I am not flattering you, but what I said is true.
Dear Concerned Authority (PH) I think this complainant is true sometimes I face also..........! (please take a note on it) Dear Poet I want to read you I want to know you more and more please come liberally and activate all your the treasure of poetry
Laurie, You are (or were, at least) 'missed' by some on PH. I think PH has chased away others as well. Much of the time since you've left
