Day Is Breaking
This world is so dark,
the night is so deep.
Evil has left its mark,
The righteous seem asleep.
Yet, take heart—do not fear!
Have courage in the night!
The dawn will soon be here;
it shall break with glorious light!
The world has so much sorrow,
it seems that there is no end in sight.
Will the day be better tomorrow?
Will this world ever be made right?
The day will return!
The shadow of the night will lift!
Let the fires of hope anew burn!
Look to the sky—dawn is nearing swift!
Until then, hold fast to those you treasure,
hold on to what is beautiful and true!
Stand with those you love in pain of any measure;
wait for the glorious day to shine through!
