Birds are a flock of blabbermouths. All it takes to set them off is the sun rising. I mean, gees, get over it, you birdbrains, the sun rises everyday....impressive expression with nice theme. Beautiful poem that attracts the readers to read over and over again.10

So much better than the alarm, Little chirps that do no harm Innocence, that greets the day Would like that, The world would stay. On re-reading your joyful, precious poem. Had to leave a chirping word of satisfaction and cheer. As you do for everyone that reads your poems and that are near!

Love that style of yours! Glad that after initial reaction of annoyance you were brought back to truth....which is we wonโ€™t be anywhere with out sun. Missing those noisy twitters on this freezing morning.

Ah, Savita, I have giving myself a bad reputation in this poem. I have never in my life deplored being awaken by birds [with the exception of the crows' harsh ugly brassy caws] I love birds morning, noon, and night [which is a rare sound around here after dark]. My brother told me one day how much he hated birds singing in the dawn. I was shocked. And then I decided to write a poem about what could change his mind! ! ! Thank you for your kind remarks on this poem! .

I love your gorgeous humorous write on birds announcing their earth shattering event of a new day. I don't think I would enjoy a morning without birdsong though. I'm usually woken by a real orchestra... first by The Colonel' our rooster, followed by an assortment of thrushes, sparrows, and blackbirds and then the ducks and the late risers our guinea fowl.

Oh my goodness, that is a surround-sound concert going on. I love waking up to bird song but my brother grouses about it so I wrote this one to give him a little something to think about. Didn't work- -he threatens to get a shot-gun and silence the poor little birds... sigh. But on the bright side, city ordinance forbids such activity!

Can you imagine how grumpy a person has to be to complain about waking to bird song? ? ? I must have had a bad night trying to sleep! ! ! ! But it turned out to be a great day cuz of those feathered singers! !

Those birds....they do understand how profound a sunrise can be. Perhaps they have some greater knowledge! No longer will I utter 'birdbrain'. A really great, and inspiring, poem.

This one originated out of my brother's complaints that birds were waking him up in the morning- -and I just had to turn those complaints around! That is one sound that has never bothered me- -the different bird songs I have heard from my bed or the back of a horse. I'm glad you felt this poem- -birds need all the friends they can get.!

The little birdies know, What little birdies are supposed to know, But it takes A Susan Williams, To spread the joy and light around, Of what seems obvious, But is much more beautiful And much deeper than it sounds. Loved this poem, so gay, so light and yet so deep. What unimaginable warmth and joy such a thing as a poem can bring. So, Susan dear, never stop making that glorious bell ring

Bird song- -one of the many blessings God has prepared for both the use of the birds and human delight. I would wish our children would keep their astute vision and hearing and sense of touch and smell and taste throughout their life and never become blase about the daily wonders in our world. Glad you enjoyed!

In their little corner of the world they proclaim what makes their little hearts race. The world of worlds consists of so many corners, and where would be without seamstresses and tailors to clothe us in motley?

Instead of using the Month and day,187 is the day of the year that I wrote the piece- My version of a diary- - - There is a deeply harrowing reason that I do it this way- it plus prayer is my way to cope with what is too painful. I love your inquiring mind, Bharati, because you seek answers instead of shrugging oddities off. That is probably part of why you write so well and wisely. .

We can take the morning conversations of birds too lightly- so lightly that we do not even hear them- - but there is a lot of solace to be had in hearing their chatter- the world is still outside the window and where there is life there is hope and where there is hope there is joy [or at least a good sense of humor]. Thank you, Bharati, for your comment- -and YES let's rise to the twitterings! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

This is s sly poem, you regale us with a gruff-voiced speaker who doesn't believe there can be miracvles in everday life, and that voice not only badgers the song birds but us as well. The voice has a mocking qualitywhich makes us feel foolish for behaving like the birds with our morning song in full glory. That's the clever way peole get silenced by society. Butr the last four lines redeem the situation. The songbirds, those with feathers and those with skin, are able to sing again!

Hello Susan! ! ! What an awesome little write about one of the beautiful gifts we have been given. Our birds certainly do help to ring in the dawn of each new day...and wouldn't we miss them, if, they were no longer present in our lives. My back yard is filled with these beautiful little tweet hearts. Oh, and the song birds - well, i could listen to them all day...while watching them play. You are filled to the full with animation....it is your animation that makes all of your writes bubble...creating word paintings - that for me, at least, are always in perpetual motion. i nominate thee: BirdSong Master of PoemHunter! ! ! !

I am glad this poem pleased you! ! Birds give our days on earth music, joy, laughter, majesty, warmth, and wisdom- I would hate the day that dawned to no song of bird, no flurry of wings, no aerial displays across the skies. You have filled your life with the joy of befriending birds- -love your words for them- -BEAUTIFUL LITTLE TWEET HEARTS! ! ! ! ! ! ! Compared to you and your rescue work with them, your bird-feeders, bird baths, flowers, trees, and love- -I am a stick-in-the-mud. Your whole being is filled with animation with your love of nature and the animals therein and if I bring a smile to your heart then I am pleased. You are the BirdLady of PoemHunter! ! !
