Dawn's Rising Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Dawn's Rising

Ahlan wa sahlan. Marḥabā.

The sun's gentle face rose,
like an eternal king crowned with light
revealing himself from the Divine Throne,
emerging across the horizons of being,
scattering theophanies of the Sacred Essence
into every breath.

Look—
upon the blue velvet of the sky's imagination,
a blush spread,
as though the Most Generous
had turned the hidden secrets of stars
into morning's unveiling.

Thousands of jeweled lights strewn,
awakening the soul's eye,
revealing the radiance of Oneness
in every atom.

Though the sun's outward rays
still veil the inner sight,
O Absolute Lord, in this sacred moment
I take Your Holy Name—

as the breeze of mystery mingles
with the breath of the unconscious,
and the sun, adorning the crown of sovereign gnosis
with love's heat,
casts upon us a gaze of mercy.

So the human self may drown
in the ocean of annihilation,
and the seeking soul find rest
in the embrace of eternal morning.

May the soft breath of dawn
bestow the sweetness of unity,
until even the angels grow envious,
as at the proclamation
that made the First Adam
God's vicegerent.

Upon the earth of the cosmos,
may the everlasting alms
of Divine Light
be scattered.
