In my longing for DAWN.... The DAWN itself will disappear! ! this is symbolic writing........ longing and the realization that it will disappear. does it denote happiness or sadness dear poetess..? ?

Hi Saraswathy, All through our lives, we long for things, not knowing that they are so short-lived. Many things we cherish to possess disappear, before we have even possessed it, like dawn. The sense of loss and void they create in our hearts are much bigger than our longing itself. Fantastic observation and exquisite imagery that make the poem extra-ordinary. Thanks for sharing.

Happy to receive encouraging comments from a grounded person like you, mostly our dreams are like dew drops disappears very soon before we realise it's beauty, thanks

This poem is to depict the longing of a newly married woman, if she didn't bear a baby within one or two years, the society will look at her as a barren land, every person questions her, gives advice, suggestions, especially the mom in law pokes her wild nose into the bedroom, so longing for a baby, prolongs means it could be a reflection of that woman's pain to see the dawn that is to become a mother, so this dawn is fir that, depends on the problem we face it could as well!
