Muttely you snickering floppy eared hound,
When courage is needed you're never around.
Those medals you wear on your moth-eaten chest,
Should be there for bungling at which you are best.
So stop the pigeon stop the pigeon!

Stop the pigeon how?
Nab him!
Jab him!
Tab him!
Grab him!
Stop that pigeon now!
You Zilly stop sneaking it's not worth the chance,
For you'll be returned by the seat of your pants.
And Klunk you invent me a thingamabob,
That catches that pigeon or I'll lose my job.

A fascinating and funny poem. The recurring words make this marvelous write lovely and lively. Very entertaining and well written.
Thank you for commenting on this whacky and funny poem/song. But I didn't write it, it's from the intro of the same named madcap cartoon I remember from my childhood which I and my friends were amazed and enchanted with. It was never on here. This is what is known as a found poem and very good to...it had me laughing out loud! It's great that you shared it with others Shaun and that certainly makes it a worthy creative endeavour in my eyes. It's a truly terrific cartoon inspired ten from me!
