Darrell With The Marbles In The Eyes Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Darrell With The Marbles In The Eyes

"Would you go with a woman who has only one arm or one leg? "
Asks Darrell with the marbles in his eyes
Posing the usual hypothetical shock questions born of Monster Island
Eating his third Payday candy bar in a row and drinking a Super Big Gulp

"Would you become lovers with a woman in a wheelchair or in a full body cast? "
Asks Darrell with the marbles in his eyes
Taps the back of his teeth with a pen
Goes crazy with interest and shakes all over

With pupils spinning wildly as if to freely knock other players out of the circle
Darrell with the marbles in his eyes has a question for you
He lives in a converted garage and he was caught videotaping women without their knowledge

Like a lost wager on a marble flicked out of bounds
Darrell with the marbles in his eyes never ceases spastic mental movements
Doesn't sleep; for him the nights are sweaty seizures
The exertion of overextended fantasies
