Darkness Falls So Quiet Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Darkness Falls So Quiet

Rating: 5.0

Darkness falls so quiet
On this damn lonely night
Full moon beckons fear
Wolves howling out of sight

Your whispers not there now
No arms holding me tight
No kisses in the night
No reassuring words

Darkness falls so quiet
Crickets seem to be dead
Crackling on the fire
Black bears ahead in dread

Darkness falls so quiet
Deathly silence stalking
Black bears in mid of night
Haunting me this cold night

Darkness falls so quiet
Night coming to an end
