Darkness Poem by Lacie Hebert

Darkness

Rating: 4.5

In the darkness of the mind,
Lies a shadow, cold and unkind.
It whispers thoughts of despair,
And fills the heart with heavy care.

Depression, a cruel and relentless foe,
It grips the soul, refusing to let go.
It suffocates with its heavy weight,
Leaving behind a trail of fate.

The world loses its colors, fades to gray,
And happiness seems so far away.
Each day a struggle, a battle to fight,
Against the darkness that fills the night.

But even in the depths of despair,
There is a glimmer of hope, a light to share.
For in the darkest hour, we can find,
Strength to rise and leave the shadows behind.

So hold on tight, don't lose sight,
Of the possibility of a future bright.
Depression may linger, but it will pass,
And in its wake, there is peace at last.

Melancholic, but professing positivity. Bhagawat Gita says "Uddharet Aatman Aatmanam…."you need to lift up your spirits all by rousing your internal strength. You should not give in to negativity or depression. For, you are your only friend. You are your foe too"
