I agree Val, with most of the comments below. This is a wonderful poem. For many, the words do not come out anymore, but thoughts shine through their eyes. You state it so beautifully, our feelings appear on our face. Even if we cannot share the stories, the memories, they are still so much alive. I am so sure that the person feels it very much if someone notices his or her inside stories and it makes them truly happy. The person noticing must a person with the warmest of empathy herself. I love this poem.
