You and I are both writing about loss and love. Your poem is like a mini story.... Nicely woven, out of order. The imagery of the dog and the words mingles together to convey a mixture of unconditional Vs conditional love... And confusion... Knowing the wrong words were said.... But surprised by the reaction... And then the loneliness sets in and the dark dark water. Well written.
