Dark is the night, and heavy the air
Whispers of sorrow drift everywhere
Shadows embrace what light can't hold
Stories of silence, Forgotten and untold
The moon hides her face in a veil of despair
Stars seem to tremble, to weary to care
A heart beats slowly, burdened with grief
Each breathe a plea, each sigh too brief
Memories linger like ghosts in the rain
Carving their names on the walls of pain
Dark is the night, with no dawn in sight
A soul wanders lost, in eternal twilight.
