Dare I hope to hope?
Is it safe? Is it right?
Am I hoping for nothing
But a black and empty night?

Perfect..not many will truly understand this feeling but it was very struck me directly to the heart..
well done, this is a brilliant poem. we all know this feeling the world over don't we, but hope is what sees us through to the end, and in any situation if we look hard enough we see that light at the end of the tunnel, i hope you did. x
dear sophie, well done...at the state of mind that i am in, this sure hits the nail on the head, i love it...hope to see some more good stuff..
So true, sometimes I feel like all the hoping I do is for nothing.
I really enjoyed this poem. Sometimes I feel like all hope is gone. Great Job.
A line from one of my most favorite songs is this: : : 'God have mercy on the man who doubts what he's sure of.' Hope is like that... something we believe in and our true carrier faith, but at times we doubt what we most hope for. We all feel this way from time to time and all seems so bleak. At those times, I try to renew my hope... and remember the reason why I asked God for hope in the first place. Well done, Sophia. I love your poems.
Dude this poem is intense im 15 and i think this has actually done somethin for me.....normally im like poetry...ehhh...but this is awsome!
Your poem made me feel better- knowing I'm not alone in doubting the benifits of hoping. I've been pondering -hope- for a while now. There is a great sense of relief when I entertain the concept of hope. When reality knocks on my mind I feel hopeless all over again so what's the point in hoping when reality stands bold in your face.
that is so true. i actually became in contact with yourr words. And it fully justifies your point. excellent! !
Lovely emotive poem. Hope was the last thing left in Pandora's box. Hope springs eternal, never give up.
