why does MW's comment call this poem a searching analysis? ? ? it is thought-provoking however. two questions: 1 - what sort of drugs? 2 - were there such things as illegal/illicit drugs in the 13th and 14th centuries? ok, more questions: 3 - what is/was Dante's sense of? his mother-in-law? i think i read some of Dante's Inferno. i believe it is too long to hold my interest to the end. maybe when the movie comes out....? bri (:

A probing, searching analysis of books and drugs in medieval times. I read Dante's 'Divine Comedy' quite recently, loved it. Drugs are and I'm glad I never tried them.
