Nicotine's grip, so subtle and sly
A slow and steady creep, that takes its toll on the sky
A deadly dance, with a promise of delight
But leads us down a path, to the darkness of night
It starts with just one, a single puff or chew
But soon the craving grows, and we're hooked, anew
A slave to the habit, a prisoner of the vice
Our bodies and minds, held hostage to the device
The damage it does, we try to ignore
But the truth can't be hidden, forevermore
The poison it brings, corrodes our insides
A ticking time bomb, that eventually divides
Lives are lost, families torn apart
All because of nicotine's deadly art
So let's break free, from its grasp so tight
And choose life over addiction, shining with light.
