Dandelions are pretty. Many people love them. They are so cheerful looking. A great poem!

I wrote the poem 'Dandelion Seed In Flight' inspired by the poem 'Dandelions' by the poet Rose Marie Juan Austin and dedicated to Rose Marie Juan Austin.

loved the brevity, the ephemeral implications of dandelions branded as weeds in 'a manicured wide lawn'

with wonder fresh renewed childlike, hold glorious spectral white ghost sphere, bloom white cup dandelion flower enfolded in mind hands, bracts reflexed curved backwards parachute ball opened in full sphere, dandelion flower head hosts numerous white fluffy parachutes entrap eyes, small pappus dandelion seed in flight creates vortex ring, timeless span branch pappus hold stare sight half an hour, a moment wind gust comes birth flight flee in wind-driven dispersal

So sad sounds this loveliest worded poem from the golden pen of the great poetess Indeed WHY are they plucked as only weeds? Thinking of my grand-Mum, these beautiful yellow flowers can be used as medicine. And they are plucked since lawn owners think that dandelions are bad for their green lawn In reality, dandelions fill up the dry spots on our lawns, not the reverse. Never! The real truth is that dandelions make fertile our dry lawn to be green again

With the bright yellow flowers among emerald leaves, a dandelion in flower looks a lovely sight! But it is considered as a weed and removed from the garden. It is indeed sad. They are supposed to be the harbingers of spring. A lovely little write!

Only to be plucked as weeds. Yes, they should given a chance to flourish. Nice poem!

A neat, precise and well written poem on the sad fate of said dandelions. Which I'll be honest to say along with daisies are the fist to be evicted from my lawn. Thank you Rose Marie for writing and sharing your touch of class poem. 10++ and added to my gemstone poem collection. Take care and I wish you well and many thanks again.
