Dancing In My Bones Poem by Ima Ryma

Dancing In My Bones

I am a corpse and have the chance
On each and ev'ry 12 a.m.
To rise in the graveyard and dance,
Meaning no mischief or mayhem.
When alive I did dance a lot.
I danced the tap and danced ballet,
I danced the waltz and the fox trot,
I did the twist and hula sway.
All these and more I danced alive,
And being dead does not mean that
I cannot still jiggle and jive,
Dirty dancing where I'm now at.

Of course there's times while dancing, I
Do sure freak out some passerby.
