Dancing In Every Sinew Poem by Mark Heathcote

Dancing In Every Sinew

You are always running, losing a shoe.
A glass slipper dancing in every sinew
You always believe in sunnier days too.
And that's what I find when I am around you.

You are always smiling like the stars at midnight.
Guided by some inner sunlight
You are always the brightest firework in the box.
Everything you do just rocks.

'Always the best lemon snap cookie I could have found'
A recipe of lemon zest and cream keeping out the cold
You were always the one.
'Never could have been another one.'

You were always in tennis skirts, combating smiles.
Driving me wild listening to my whistles and jibes
You were always on my mind.
Driving me crazy, driving me crazy,
Crazy, crazy baby.

You are always running off your mouth like a box of frogs.
About our future together and frugal weather
You are always talking about keeping love alive.
Like dancing bees in a beehive

You are always smiling like the stars at midnight.
Guided by some inner sunlight
You are always the brightest firework in the box.
Everything about you 'just rocks' is like a box of frogs.
My vixen fox that's infectious snare can't be denied
Not for a day or a night. Let the cockerel crow
But darling never let me go.
