Damned Poem by Ofentse Mercy Hajane (The Dark So'tho Seer)

Damned

In the suffocating night,
My cries go unheard, swallowed by the void.
My agonies go unfelt, ignored by the cruel world.
On this treacherous path I journey,
Invisible, unnoticed, forgotten.
Blind to my way, lost in a maze of shadows.
In this accursed existence, there is no salvation.
I am condemned, forsaken, abandoned to my solitary torment.

Alone, I wander this desolate road.
Perhaps, a glimmer of light shall cross my path,
But the darkness, ever relentless, maintains its dominion.
I beseech the heavens, soaring above their reach,
Yearning for a response, for some semblance of understanding.
Yet, what can I grasp from this vast abyss?
A wretched being, a vessel of sorrow.
Unworthy of the heavens' call, I am left to suffer.
For my transgressions, countless and unforgivable.
Thus, no wrathful moment from the sky do I witness,
I have not earned such attention.
With my broken spirit, I continue to trudge,
Eyes fixed upon the loneliest road of damnation.
