I am always reminded of Christopher Robin kneeling in prayer when I read the words 'by the bedside' and some of the innocence and beauty of this imaginary boy comes across in your humbly penned lines of reflection and supplication. Although prayer has never been my choice of spiritual expression, I nonetheless understand perfectly where this piece is coming from. There are many doors into love and compassion. You have opened yours with grace. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Without the Cross! How blessed is mankind, that we do not have to bear the pain our Lord did that day. Mankind will never come close to anything that Jesus did for us. We should all be down on our knees thanking Him for the ultimate sacrafice. Did we deserve it? NO WAY! ! But God knew it was the only way that mankind was going to be allowed into Heaven, through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus! All of our knees should be callused! God Be with you, Linda

We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the great act of the man, we're forever free. Thanks for this my friend

A good reminder. It helps to reflect on life everyday in meditation and prayer. Suffering has been one of the most difficult experiences to explain, understand, and especially accept. Only love can give it meaning and for many Christ has given us proof. But for many others there is no acceptable answer. Thanks for sharing.

Very moving. If Christ had not come...there would be no candles in the darkness. Beautiful, Meggie. Your poems lift the spirit and soothe the heart. Write on. Love, Sandra

True we must carry our cross daily and follow him. Though we stumble, as mortal man will and as Jesus fell, being in the flesh.
