Daffodil, Each Side Of A Gate Poem by james watkin

Daffodil, Each Side Of A Gate

More this rustic gate
Does swing, if widely
Country hospitality
For to then express
What, each side, for daffodil
Opens to impart.

Even more, through it
If effusive-faced
Thrusts its glow, a friend's, re-traced
Of cheer's welcomeness
Who, each side, for daffodil
Brightens up the heart.
