Daddy Who Poem by Alyssa Marquardt

Daddy Who

Daddy who laughs like orange soda
Who is the wolf that cherishes his pack
Who is a hardhat and a big blue truck
Who is a baseball cap
Who is a rock in a river
And sand on the beach
Who is the mountain climber
Who is the redwood tree
Who is the bridge that carries me along
And the sweet country love song
Who is the swing set that pushes me forward
Who is the hot fireplace
Who is a big, hot bowl of beef stew soup
Who is froot loops and tender steak.
Who is my hand-woven oven mitt
Whose eyes are raining jungles
Who says my mom is his only best friend
Who calls my his baby girl,
Who is the river's flowing current
Who is a red and white 4x4 ford
Who is my sky.
