a nice poem of remembering your fathers wise words which will always remind you of him? turn or no turn! ...................well penned PP
Thanks so much, Tom, for reading and commenting. Daddy was quite a character. I'm kind of glad he's not around to see the world today, because he'd be horrified at the condition of it. HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE DAD ON HERE! :)
This just put a smile on my face and made me giggle - is that the wrong response! ! !
Alison, no- - I don't think a giggle was an inappropriate response at all, considering it's rather difficult to turn over in your grave when you've been cremated. Also, my father was an American southern man who had some strange and funny expressions that he used to say. He really did say, repeatedly, that the world was going to Hell in a handbasket. So, I believe there's some subtle humour hidden in this poem, and you were bright enough to pick up on it!
but his ashes have been scattered around and what you said he has found.
Very true, Louis. He probably sees/ knows more than any of us realise! I enjoy your rhyming comments! Thanks so much for reading!
it is always my pleasure to respond to beauty thru the eyes of a poet/ poetress
