Daddy Issues Poem by Daya Nandan

A father complex is common these days,
Forming itself in many different ways,
Bad relationships with your dad,
The absent father that some lost or never had,

Daddy issues grow steadily like super seeds,
Subconsciously feeding on your past childhood needs,
They grow slowly into adulthood for some,
Making joys in life difficult to come,

Younger women chasing much older men is an effect,
Though that is not exactly a bad thing as one would expect,
There are some seeking mistreatment in some cases,
Bruises with chains and whips in different places,

Some cannot develop a meaningful relationship,
Because of all the trust issues that they keep,
Some seek therapy because they want to heal so badly,
While others enjoy it when you ask them who is your daddy.
