Cyst, My Nonmalignant Friend Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Cyst, My Nonmalignant Friend

Rating: 5.0

Cyst, my nonmalignant friend
You caused me quite a damn scare
Your kisses on my forehead
Sent me to a specialist

The dermatologist said
That I have some benign friends
Who seem to like my forehead
And gave me slap on my back

I told her that they like my chest
And seem to like my back as well
She asked me to take off my shirt
Blushing, I did as I was told

Feeling a little exposed
With back up to her eyes and nose
Her standing on her tippy-toes
Felt like giving her a red rose

A good clear-cut diagnosis
Led to my giving dozen roses
Our friendship now in full bloom
Maybe I'll become a groom

Great news, Richard! I have had skin cancer many times and it is no fun. I always wear a hat and long sleeves when outdoors. Best of luck to you.
