Curtains Of Death Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Curtains Of Death

As the
Curtains of death
Closed in,
I saw in
Your pious eyes,
A massive relief

The feeling
Of having earned
A nice pension
For life's hardships

An odyssey
Which saw you
Rise,
From abject poverty
To the elegantly furnished
Offices of
Your executive suite
