Curiosity And Friendship Poem by June FeirCruz

Curiosity And Friendship

Rating: 4.5

It is natural to be curious about a person that fascinates us
It is natural for us to wonder what makes them who they are
It is natural for us to want to know what makes them tick
It is natural for us to want to know what makes them special

But we have to be careful on what motivates us
In wanting to know someone deeper
Do we love this person and that is why we care?
Is she doing something that is not salubrious to her soul?
And are we here to save her?

Or do we just want to know that she is flawed?
Do we want to know that her feet are made of clay?
Do we want to know something that we can hold above her head like Damocles sword?
Are we being truthful to ourselves as well?

If I do have secrets
Because you are my friend
For sure I will tell you for I I trust you till the end
But for prudency's sake, please don't expect me to tell you everything

Oh, who has not been there? ! I enjoyed this poem very much. You have a way of taking those things that we all feel from time to time and expressing them in beautiful verse, thank you June.
