Cunning Little Mind Poem by Kelvin Rush

Cunning Little Mind

Oh my cunning little mind
On this wonderful day what do we find
Are you positive happy and relishing life
Or the usual controlling abusive wife

It seems you live with a constant cloud
Darkness looms whenever you're around
You steal all the energy the air is weak
Like a rancid parasite cold and bleak

I've lived with you now for fifty years
With your chronic moods and internal fears
If you can't change there's the door
I'm not prepared to take anymore
