Crying Out Your Name. Poem by Sandra Kavanagh Josefsson

Crying Out Your Name.

Rating: 5.0

Crying out your name.
But you do not hear me.
The moon leers playfully
and its shadows can be seen
on my bedroom wall,
but you are not near me at all.

In dreams, I fantasise
about us being together.
I can feel your touch.
I can hear your whispers
as they disappear into
the night air.

I can listen to your breathing,
your heartbeat,
your soul's desire.
You are everything I ever wanted.
You are my eternal fire.

Crying out your name.
But you do not hear me.
The moon leers playfully
and its shadows can be seen
on my bedroom wall,
but you are not with me at all.
