Cry With Me, Oh Daughters Of Zion Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Cry With Me, Oh Daughters Of Zion

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
For our land is torn and broken,
Our tears like rivers, endlessly flowing,
As the enemy's words are spoken echo like thunder.

Our streets once filled with laughter and love,
Are now plagued with fear and sorrow,
Our homes, once blessed from above,
Now bear the weight of a dark tomorrow.

Cry with me, for our children's sake,
As they witness hatred and division,
Their innocence, the world does shake,
In this time of constant collision.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
Oh daughters of Zion, raise your voices high,
For our hearts are heavy with pain,
Let our tears be heard like a mournful cry.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
And may our prayers, like a soothing rain,
Bring healing to our wounded land,
And peace to every troubled soul.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
Let love and unity take a stand,
And let division's walls crumble and fall,
And never will the eyes cry again.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
For together, we are strong,
In the midst of chaos and confusion,
Let our faith be steadfast, all along.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
For though the night may seem so long,
The dawn of a new day will surely come,
And in that day, we'll sing a joyful song.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
For our tears will be dried, and our hearts will be one,
So let us cry, but let us also hope,
For a better tomorrow, we'll strive.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
With our arms linked, and our hearts in scope,
Together,
We'll keep our love alive.

Cry with me, oh daughters of Zion,
And let our tears be a call to action,
For in unity, we'll find our salvation,
And rise above every obstacle and distraction.
