Can you tell me why?
I'm feeling so shy
I'm humane
Living being
The way-
I conduct myself
Making pledges
Experiencing
The deluge of emotions
And empowerment
Love and care
From the masses
Still, getting so dry
I don't know why?

Can you tell me why?
I'm feeling so shy
Imploring-
For I implore
For the support
When in dilemma
Sobbing-
For I sob to have
Everything
When, I don't have
I don't know why?

Can you tell me why?
I'm feeling so shy
Turning out heartless
Inhuman being
Living whilst
Within the society
Getting
So cruel so hateful
So bitter and dry
I don't know why?

Can you tell me why?
I'm feeling so shy
Getting remorseful
Over the sharing
Sharing of my interest
With fellowmen-
Once I loved so much
Much more than myself
I don't know why?

Can you tell me why?
I'm feeling so shy
Caring a fig for
The outside grace
Being full of conceit
Declaring-
I'm all self-made
Don't need any maid
No parents to watch
No friends to aid
Not even
A teacher to educate
Nurse or doctor
For I don't need
Nor any hold up
To carry the dead
For cremation
Or to the grave-yard
No love, no rally round
No care of any kind
No company
No compassion I need
I don't know why?

Can you tell me why?
Today-
I'm feeling so shy
One and all so cry
I don't know why?
