Crush The Victims Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Crush The Victims

Crush the victims.
The homeless, the dispossessed
Jail the peacemakers, the protesters.
Praying that the starving see another loaf of bread.
Let the gavel of injustice fall upon their head.
While all you false prophets increase our debts.
And imprison our children in lieu of hiding their own mistakes.
The lawless are often the lawmakers; it's their party politics.
Deceiving those they are apparently appointed to serve.
And impose new laws on you.
Cannot be heard.
They feed the weapons, the machinery of new wars.
Segregate the wealthy from the systemically poor.
Create a plague of indifference, one of subterfuge.
Thus, they can barricade their own front door.
Stay three steps ahead, and maybe even more.
From the call of judgment and justice that should be there for all.
