Hey, Suzanne! I wonder what brought this poem on. That aside, I notice, as in other poems of yours, how the speaker’s reflection flows in a steady telling that makes for effortless and bumpless taking in. The crusader is a good choice for the theme. Though it safely puts his words back in time, it definitely reflects the contemporary attitude of those who fight for ideology at the behest of those whose motive is greed. -Glen
