Cruelest Dance Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Cruelest Dance

A treasured innocence
broken and bloodied;
its ruby tears
encase memories
that can never be erased.

Life's a cruel little dance
when the joy of youth dies before it should;
becomes an anger
that won't forgive and can't forget,
even when it wishes it could.
