Rating: 5.0

Let's learn limits of pain to cross
And walk across where greens comforts are lain,
Far away, tossing aside convention,
To kiss unknown acres of new terrain,

If pleasure over pain does mar morality, Remember, pain ‘tis that produces poetry, And if it triumphs paper upon pen, That is to learn crossing limits of pain........impressive expression on pen and pain. beautiful poem is well executed Thanks for sharing.10

I'm so glad you finally managed to read this poem. Some of my old poems on which I ttok some time to write, I see them awaiting comments. PH does not not give statistics on how many read without giving feedback. This is important because very few may take time to note their comments, and there are readers who are not poets.

Pain is the way new things are learnt, And to see if our spotless self comes clean, It's all right at times to embrace some dirt, And learn to live with stains on our own shirt; Let's leave of absence to our old masks give, very fevealing poem. our human substance and tendencies, dirt, and sin and virtue, aspirations to be one with God. great poem dear Anirudha. tony

Pains are alarms of nature. A physical pain is an alarm we are doing any injustice with our body. A mental pain is an alarm we are doing any injustice with our thoughts and beliefs. The most serious alarm is the pain of a soul it means we are doing some injustices with the society we are living in. We should welcome the pains its outcome is always an attempted remedy. Yes, to a poet it's inspiration to think and write.

So well said, Akhtar sahab. But we behave like ostrich. The signal and alarms that tell us about something wrong we try to bury. Look at the pain killers in the market today.

Fear of unknown and fear to cross outside our comfort zone hold us back from discovering new terrains- -To do something new may require courage and we may have to suffer pain in the process. But it is essential as without it civilization will not progress. The unconventional thinkers have always faced struggles in their lives.(Part-2)

Let's at times seek no rescue flight But find comfort in darkling night. And to see if our spotless self comes clean, It's all right at times to embrace some dirt, And learn to live with stains on our own shirt; - - - - - - - A wonderful poem- - - (part-1)

Thank you Dr Swain, I think pain purifies man's inner being the way no pleasure can.

Thank you Rose Marie for some good words, for both of your comments. I don't know but I've written quite a few poems on pain and death. Providence I think can't be spoil-sport. There has to be a meaningful thought behind pain. Why or else a new-born must suffer during very birth.
