Crimson Giver Poem by Sven Rhoads

Crimson Giver

Rating: 5.0

Far from the glow of your sun
Surrounded by the legion of shadows
Right on the shore of the sea of flames
Looking into the star ridden sky
I feel the cold sink deep into my skin
As it slowly forms into my natural armor
Dreaming of the warmth of your soft embrace
That seems more than worlds away

Conceived upon the altar of sacrifice
My soul has been scarred
My heart has been broken
But still I rise with every dawn
Fighting a fight that seems eternal

For war is worth seeing those eyes
Basking in the light of that radiant smile
Forever just doesn't seem long enough
If given the chance to love you my only one

I'm short on breath
From battle and your being
Both have my mind running insanely
My heart is racing to explode
From passion to win and love
Both have driven me to a natural high
