The psychology of this one is rather tricky, but the poetry is effective in its portrayal of scenes of desperation - on both sides. It's stark, disturbing and moves the reader to try and penetrate the motives at work. It draws us in effectively - regardless of how we feel about the subject matter - and that is a measure of the poem's power. jim

Uh huh, this could be made into a movie, is there a second series or are you like me and keep your fans hanging. I like this poem, it is a dark poem yes, but I believe tells a story that could be realistic in this day and age. A sad picture painted certainly, I'm not sure what happens on the other side once one's death has been self inflicted, I wonder. Would they be cast into a deep dark hole, or would they have an opportunity to redeem themselves. Since it is an uncertainty, I think we should not ponder any thoughts of suicide. Melvina
