Created From His Side Poem by April Humason

I am the rib, created from his side,
Formed by God's hands, where love resides.
A part of Adam, yet curvy and free,
Fashioned from flesh, mated in perfection, you see.

Not from the earth, nor from dust below,
But from his body, where love can grow.
Not above, not beneath, but close at his heart,
A divine creation, set apart.

With breath of life, I took my place,
Beside him, touched by Heaven's grace.
Together we walked, side by side,
Bound by a love nothing can divide.

When the fall came, and shadows spread,
Still by his side, in faith we tread.
For I was made to walk this land,
Created from his side by God's own hand.

A symbol of strength, of beauty and grace,
A partner to share each sacred space.
For in each woman, this truth shall live,
Born from his side, with all to give.
