Crash Into Me Poem by Ima Ryma

Crash Into Me

There I was standing on the beach,
Feeling very lonely and blue.
'Cross the water I did beseech
That somehow I'd encounter you.
And then I saw you suddenly
On the horizon rising up,
And coming forward just for me.
It was a joyous moment, yup,
As I did watch you stay on course.
It only took a moment and
You crashed into me with such force,
Knocking me down upon the sand.

When you left, I felt such regret,
Because all you left me was wet.
