This is a beautifully crafted poem and has such depth of feeling, also a philosophical idea enclosed in it, its really quite remarkable! I love the way you set out with a group of rhetorical questions, then answer them in subjunctive sentences. it is really quite an thought-provoking piece. But also we can hear your frustration, almost to the point of angry tears, or despondency. At least that is how I hear you saying this.

so many things in life slip right through our fingers, your poem is a perfect reflecion of that. theree are many things we want to hold on to in life that somehow get away from us

I love this. It's sad in a way. It seems like everything we want slips through our fingers. But then again, if nothing slipped away then we wouldn't love something when we held it.
