Cracks Full Of Graffiti Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Cracks Full Of Graffiti

I've shaken a can of spray paint
and covered your heart.
I've covered the cracks of your heart
in the spray of things I sometimes
forget to say
In the hopes that when it drys,
It's still the same familiar color
That I know & love best.
I've rattled my insecurities
& told you the best way that I could
That I love you.
Although life sometimes appears temporary
I love when you color me
in your thoughts.
I've shaken a can full of paint
and written my name in a place where
I know you'd see it, where I know
that you'll feel it most.
I've shaken up a can of paint,
Not to cover up the parts of me that there
isn't an excuse for.
But to add on to the things that make us
who we are "together"
Two balls rattling around together
in an imperfect can
