Such a beautiful poem and an equally beautiful picture, Edmund! Hammocks between two palm trees, facing the sea and the sky, is a vision of heaven on earth. And a book of Kipling to read! How wonderful! Truly enjoyed the imagery the poem created!
LOVE this poem! The idea of turning off all the outward messages and looking inward to know who you truly are... And accepting and being comfortable with it... Is beautiful and FREEING. This is a lovely, honest write. And I love the imagery and crab shells and Kipling? Perfect! ! :)
And the line, 'I will build a raft of books to read/ I will dry them on the shore.... Beautiful!
Speaking of islands I treasure your reviews! It just now occurred to me that you would love the crab shells reference as I think of your poet poems! Maybe I plagiarized sub consciously! If so, I make no apologies but extend a thanks!
Ah Wonderful! ! especially the last two verses The solitude and beauty this poem is home to me I too would ask for nothing more Edmund Full marks
